life... its confusing

As a child we hate taking naps in grade school, hate doing chores in middle school, and then hate curfews in highschool. We just cant wait to move out on our own and not have any rules to follow. All we want is to be grown up and do things our way. We don't have to take a nap or go to bed when someone tells us too, we can stay up late and go out partying and not have a curfew, and if our room (house) isn't clean who cares?? Well this is what I always thought as a child.... I couldn't wait to move out and be a grown up! Well was I sure wrong!!!! people try to tell you how hard adult life is and we all just blow it off and say yea yea how hard could it be? you go to work and make money, and have fun! That is how I interpreted it anyways. No one really tells you that your days become monotonous.... you wake up go to work.... work sucks.... come home exhausted... cook supper... do laundry.... take a shower.... go to bed... only to wake up and do the same thing over and over and over and over and over ahhhhhh ok you get the point!! oh and don't let me forget the bills and taxes and grocery shopping!! ugh!
I miss those days of summer vacation learning how to ride my bike with my friends.... laying out with all my girlfriends by the pool talking about who was hot and who was not! I would give anything for someone to make me go take a nap, or to only have a handful of chores in the evening to do instead of a whole house to clean!! oh how things change.......
Being grown up isn't quite what I expected there are some bad things that just totally suck about being grown up ,but there are some things that are just awesome!   Like being married to my best friend and getting to be an aunt.... those things are pretty cool. Because now I get to hang out with my best friend anytime I want not just when my parents say I can and now I get to ride bikes with my nieces and nephew and listen to them laugh at me because im like a scared little kid afraid I need training wheels again!!!
Life is funny that way we always are wanting something more or something different. We are young, we want to grow up.  We are old we, want to be a kid again.
life is just confusing lol its a great fun rollercoaster ride for sure!!!!

our family

Our Children....

So we have a new addition to our family... her name is Ellie Mae... she is yellow (white) lab....she is 6 weeks old and we just love her to pieces... until yep there it is another pile of POOP!! omg its the worst ever.... what is in their little baby bodies? it smells awful....and whats even worse my husband smells it and YACK!!! now not only am I cleaning dog poop but also vomit!!! The joys of being a mommy to puppies!!!

I don't know if I have told about my other animals.... whom are all the love of my life!!!..... We have Tank he is our Chorkie (Chihuahua/Yorkie) I got him in feb before Justin and I met he was just a tiny little pup.... we call him "toot bug".... he is the most spoiled rotten thing in the world I swear he is part human he understands everything omg he is sooo smart and has such a little attitude..... (pic to come)
Then there is our kitty... her name is Socks she was born in may. We never call her that we just call her kitty kitty or kitty girl and hey cat get off that!!!! We got her the June/July (these months run together way too much wedding stuff)before we got married so tank wouldn't be lonely in a new house all day while mommy and daddy were working... and yes it sounds strange we got a cat for a dog..... I don't know what it is but tank loves cats always has and they get along just perfect..... he thinks he is a cat and she thinks she is dog... I mean come on now they take baths together. what cat does that? she is strange one let me tell you!!!
Then there is Maggie aka "maggie moo" she is dog that belonged to our friends Tony and Milicent they had to get rid of her because they didn't have room anymore for her to run and play and believe me she loves to run and play. She is a beagle spaniel mix. She lives outside and she loves it. She doesn't like bad weather tho so when its cold or raining she sleeps inside with the rest of us.... and for a dog not being a lab she sure does like the water ALOT!!!  So when we found Ellie Mae we thought she would be the perfect friend for Maggie outside!!

So this is our little family... yes all animals no children yet but hopefully soon to come!!

This Tank "Toot Bug"

This is Socks "Kitty Kitty, Kitty girl"

haha I think this is so funny of Maggie !! "Maggie Moo"

and now I need to upload pics of Ellie Mae! trust me there are a ton but just haven't loaded them on the computer!!!

So my rant for this fabulous Monday is....

I seriously don't understand people..... like why go to doctor for everything under the sun? I mean I understand you are running fever, vomiting, unexplainable rash from head to toe, or even a horrible cough and yucky green runny nose.... I get it I do.... but I mean come on you are coming because you have a sore spot on your hand or you have a crick in your neck or you woke up with a headache.....ummm hello do you people not realize it is flu and rsv season!!!! are you kidding me? especially on a Monday ppl!!!! Im sorry but bringing your child in for these things really gets me going bc now not only will you have the germs you caught while being in the waiting room next to the kid with 104 fever and vomiting... you will spread these germs to even more ppl. ugh! therefore causing all of us more work to do!! as if you ppl don't make us have enough work! Oh and let me tell you I really wonder how some ppl even procreate.... like how did you even know how? You are that dumb! I really believe if you have to learn how to drive a car and have a test on it then you should have to learn how to be a parent and have a test on it before you can have a child..... im sorry im not trying to be rude but come on!!! You are putting a oral (mouth) thermometer in your kids ear! seriously this happens.... or lets say you are calling me to ask if it is medically necessary to put lotion on your two year old little girl every night before she goes to bed...... are you really calling and bothering me with this? its not like your child has eczema or any skin disease... this I could understand.  Therefore... a test to be able to procreate? yes I am all for it!!

So I have realized that I have no idea how to find ppl or read other ppls blogs.... I am in need of my sister in laws help at the moment.  I need blogging 101!!

So im sitting here watching sex in the city 2. Don't we all wish we had a bit of Carrie Bradshaw in us when writing these blogs.... well I do anyways...

Tomorrow is Monday, I hate Mondays... who doesn't tho? I hate the beginnings of weeks because you know for the next five days ,or however long your week is, that it will be the same things everyday.... wake up go to work, be stressed, come home, clean, cook, take care of everything, shower, bed...... over and over and over.  The monotony drives me crazy. I need excitement. I think that's why I look forward to the weekends so much. I love having plans sometimes but other times I love just taking the day as it comes.  I love to get excited about going somewhere and I also love those weekends where I do absolutely nothing. We did absolutely nothing this past weekend and I loved every minute of it. I do however love my job, I have the pleasure of being a pediatric nurse.  Its stressful and very rewarding and I love all my babies so much! However, to everything so wonderful there is always a down side. The atmosphere and way things are run are sometimes not a bit to fair, but hey beggers cant be choosers can they? No my job is great im just in a rut... I hate driving an hour to and from work everyday. I think that's why I am having a hard time. I waist so much time every week in my car driving.. a car im trying to blow up btw so I can get a new one... lol I mean a girl has to do what a girl has to do ya know. anywho back to what I was saying... The drive OMG let me tell you it is totally stressful!! Yes I could get a job closer to home but let me tell you I could never find a job that I would love and would get the patients I have now.  I have some great patients!! Ok yes there are some crazies but the good out weighs the bad. So I guess its time to put my big girls panties on and get ready for Monday.  Yay Monday!!

This is my mother in law Cindy, me and my sister in law Kelli
This pic was taken Christmas 2011 just a few hours before Justin proposed to me.

This is Justin and his brother Nick this past December 2012 in Las Vegas!!
These two had just bought a bucking bull named Willie Slinger!
Yes we are in the bucking bull business now!

These are Nick and Kellis beautiful kiddos!
We had the pleasure of keeping them while they went to mexico for their anniversary!!
We had so much fun that weekend! Went to the childrens museum, Logans to eat, and Chuck E cheeses!! I do have to admit we had just as much fun as they did playing games!!

So its sat. and Justin and I slept till 11 wow!!! can you tell we were tired.... we got up did breakfast and are now sitting in our chairs  playing with our electronics... lol yes we know we are pathetic!! we need to get up and clean our house. thinking I want our nieces and nephew to come over and stay with us tonight!! speaking of them let me tell you they were the reason I knew I loved Justin.

The first time I met Justins family was super bowl sunday in 2011.  I was late getting there because I had to finish a project for nursing school.  Also, I was very nervous I liked Justin so much I wanted his family to like and approve of me. So yes I took a while getting ready. lol I drove up from my home "in town" to the "middle of nowhere".  Justin picked me up from his house and we went over to his brothers house.  His family was all there.... Gmaw (Lillie), Dad (Pete), Mom (Cindy), Brother (Nick), sister in law (Kelli) and two nieces Maci and Mauri, and nephew Rhett. Well I couldn't even tell you who was playing that sunday bc I was playing with the kiddos so much. We just seemed to click. They actually were saying are you my aunt Christi lol  It was funny and it broke the ice so to speak. I visited with his family and it was awesome because they were so laid back and made me feel comfortable.  Then seeing Justin how he was with kids playing and how much they loved their uncle Jelly Bean was so sweet I knew that moment I was in trouble.  They loved him so much and he was so patient and loving with them.  I was like omg this could be the man of my children.  I knew that moment that I loved everything about him. Seeing him with his family was just wonderful.  You learn a lot about a person when they are around their family. That is their territory and their comfort zone and so you really see who they are with the people they are most comfortable around.

Guess children are smarted sometimes than we give them credit for.... they kept saying aunt Christi aunt Christi and guess what they were right. I became Aunt Christi :)

So I am married to my very best friend in the world.... his name is Justin and yes you already know he is a farmer and when I say farmer I mean it.... the whole thing.. land, rows, fields, combines, tractors, pastures, you name it farm wise and we got it!! So we met through some mutual friends of ours... a girl named Mallory that I knew from family friends and her boyfriend at the time Sam. Mallory and Sam went to school with Justin and one night they were all out together and she called me and said she had someone for me to meet. Well I wasn't to sure because I really hated being set up on blind dates. Thanks to my cousin Troy, he had set me up on one and it was horrible!! (omg way to bad to even think about describing)  So anyways... I agreed to giving him my number so we could talk, text, ya know all that fun social media stuff..... well that was in April.... well by the end of May I agreed to meeting him while out with a bunch of mutual friends... it went well, but I still wasn't sure I wanted to be in a relationship or anything and he didn't know really either. It was a difficult summer because I had lost my grandmother and then I was out of town at the beach for a month and a half....( perks of being a nanny) and well of course summer is busy farming season so he was working so much. We didn't get to see much of each other so we couldn't really seem to develop a relationship. We were great friends and talked everyday, but couldn't find the time to get together. So I started back in nursing school and we talked and hung out a lot more that fall.... well on Thanksgiving night in 2010 I agreed to going out on a date with him. My mom had told me to go that I needed to go and have some fun and she specifically said and I quote "it isn't like you have to marry the man just go out with him".... so I did!!! After that we were pretty much inseparable. We started dating  in January of 2011 and on Christmas day night in 2011 we got engaged!!! And that when the fun wedding planning festivities began. oh buddy is that some work and tears good and bad. lol I think if anyone has ever planned a wedding with 400 + ppl they totally understand! Well we got married on July 21, 2012 and I can honestly say that has been the happiest day of my life so far. I honestly didn't ever know I could feel so much for one person and feel the love back from them also. It was all so overwhelming and wonderful. Absolutely couldn't have asked for a more perfect day!

ok so I love our rings obviously hahaha

ok more to come later I need to upload pictures!!!

Day 1

So I am so excited to start blogging!!! It will definitely take me and little bit to get use to doing the design and everything but hopefully until then yall will still read what I have to say....  I have been thinking about doing a blog for a while now but never knew what I would talk about or what people would want to hear.... I mean im not really that interesting of a person.... I don't think...but I guess I do have a lot to say and it may interest some ppl to hear what my life is like.... if not then I guess just don't read it lol

My name is Christi as you probably already know by now... I am 26 yrs old and I just recently got married in July of 2012..... I was a born in a town with more people, houses, cars, restaurants, and shopping than there was empty land.... if you wanted land with tress or a pond or whatever you had to go "out of town" per say...... Well who would have thought I would have met a farmer and moved to the middle of no where!!! The closest store is an hour or more away!!! ahhhh!!!
So lets just say since ive gotten married its been a bit of a culture shock.... don't get me wrong I love love love living out here but sometimes its pretty tough on me because you see I am a nurse and I still work in the "busy, fast, too many ppl town" I drive an hour to and from work every single day.... it gets a bit exhausting at times I must say.... but hey anything for love right?
ME & MY SIS IN LAW KELLI

I figured I would put a pic up of the two of us since she is the reason I am going to be trying this blog thing out.....
